Here you will find some details on the facilities available to you during your stay at either Lower Quoys or Mole End Cottage. Complementary toiletries are available and small token welcome items by way of thanks for choosing us. There is a good range of store cupboard items in the kitchen such as stock cubes, salt, pepper, vinegar, cooking oil and herbs as well as a selection of teas, coffee and sugar. 

In Kirkwall, there are a number of places to source your groceries for the duration of your stay including, Tesco in Kirkwall, Co-op and Lidl. The nearest Co-op is in Dounby a 10 minute drive away. Tesco Kirkwall do click and collect, so you could order groceries in advance or if you would like us to source some groceries for you in advance just let us know. There are also some good deli’s, two in Kirkwall (The Brig and Kirkness & Gorie) and one in Stromness, (The Bayleaf). You will find the kitchen at Lower Quoys is well equipped and the separate dining room is spacious, light and airy and easily accommodates six guests.

Lower Quoys self catering accommodates four adults easily, or a family in two bedrooms. one large bedroom with a king-size bed and one twin bedroom. We can also accommodate an infant (0-2) in a travel cot in the larger bedroom. Please note, we no longer accept pets.

Mole End Cottage is a charming ‘But and Ben’ Cottage made for two.

Facilities at Lower Quoys include a spacious, separate dining room leading off the kitchen. A bright and airy room to unwind after a day sight seeing.

Our facilities at Lower Quoys include two double bedrooms. This is the main bedroom which includes double wardrobe, wall mounted TV, hairdryer.

All bedding and towels are provided and electricity is included in the price. Other services and facilities include those outlined below.

If you are staying for two weeks or more, and would like a change of linen and towels part way through your stay please let us know.
